Q&A With Kumar!

It's finally here! Make sure to get your tickets fast. The shows WILL sell out. Go to SISTIC. :)

Many thanks to Kumar, and also Tricia from Dream Academy, for this hilarious interview.

Just Watch Lah: We notice you don't have a Facebook account, but tweet from time to time. Did Mark Zuckerberg offend you in some way?

Kumar: I have a short attention span. And don't need to keep in touch on Facebook, I can touch people in person at the bar.

JWL: Speaking of Facebook, have you met co-founder Eduardo Saverin, who migrated to Singapore?

Kumar: Yes, it was a dark and stormy night. Of course not lah, you think what? I haven't even met my mother's second grandauntie in three months, and she lives next door.

JWL: In your opinion, what was Singapore's biggest scandal in 2012?

Kumar: I think Lawrence Khong's leather bondage outfit is scandalous. The colour combination is just terrible. And he's been allowed to wear that for years.

( In case you're not sure who Lawrence Khong is, Google / Wikipedia says he's a "Senior Magician of Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) in Singapore". Here's a visual. )

JWL: There seems to be so much hanky panky going on in this country these days. Are Singaporeans becoming naughtier, or just dumber because they got caught?

Kumar: My dear, hanky panky is everywhere. You were born yesterday issit? Even then, two days ago, your father was feeling your mother up.

JWL: What important issue has been mostly ignored by our government, and which you feel is absolutely essential in the nation's future survival?

Kumar: The treatment of maids and other foreign workers. Don't forget, your great grandfather was also a cheena rice farmer once upon a time. No joke.

JWL: What can audiences look forward to at your upcoming Esplanade show, What makes a MAN a MAN?

Kumar: Same answer every year: everything and a ping pong show. But not the kind with the Singapore Table Tennis team.

JWL: Without giving too much away, in one sentence ( or 3 words? ), what makes a man a man?

Kumar: It's all about your DNA. Dick, nuts, attitude.

JWL: A recent international survey said Singaporeans are the world's most emotionless people. True or false?

Kumar: Uh.

JWL: What are your guilty pleasures?

Kumar: My pleasures are never guilty...until the morning after.

JWL: Who will win the Punggol by-election?

Kumar: Hello, I am Indian, but not a fortune teller. Go ask the bird in the cage.
